If the title of this article ‘Money Beliefs’ hooks you up, it shows you aim to earn more wealth in life. The amusing fact is every Jack and Jill will definitely read through this but not understand what it means.
It is commonly believed that money is a magic potion that wipes all our woes away. And it isn’t false either!! Everyone has dreams, big or small. But for most of us, the ultimate aim would be to become rich. It isn’t greedy to be wanting to be prosperous. It is everyone’s birthright to live the life they wish to live.
We, as Indians are more focused on settling in a job, than fulfilling our dreams. We like to buckle down to the same path of getting a degree from a reputed college, finding a job, and clinging it tightly for a lifetime.
Following the above path has been a norm that we have followed ever since our childhood. If we pursue our hobby or passion, we feel discontent. This very thought process makes our aspirations of living a richer life turn out to be a distant dream.
However, are certainly evolving now. People have started coming to terms with their dreams and goals rather than fiddling with a lifetime settlement job.
However, we have a plenitude of limiting beliefs regarding money. The self-construed, family-insinuated, or society-fabricated ideologies about money could probably be the reason behind our limitations.
Listed below are some limitations and solutions that can help one overcome money beliefs:
I can either do what I love or earn money
The most crucial requirement to earn money is not to focus on earning but aiming at your end goal.
What happens when you start following your heart?
Money becomes a secondary effect: When you work on your dreams, wealth will become just one of the many perks. Taking up a job just to earn money may deplete your energy and hinder growth. But when you follow your passion, it gives you inner peace and satisfaction.
Abundance mindset: When we do what we love, we live a blissful life. The work becomes fulfilling and it graces us to shift to a positive mindset. And that, in turn, would attract more and more abundance in one’s life.
Steady and sized up returns: Maybe it takes years to achieve monetary gains. But still, when we keep working on our goals, we achieve steady financial abundance.
Money doesn’t buy happiness/ Richness is paired with canniness and covetousness:
When we consciously aspire to have more money but there are negative beliefs nailed into our subconscious, we are repelling the abundance we deserve. If we desire to have more money at our disposal, the first step to take is to clear these money blocks. Well, that’s not going to be as easy as said. But still, it is not that difficult too.
Few steps that can be implemented are as follows:
Working on yourself: One needs to deeply analyze his/her thought pattern. Journaling about your thought patterns, catching your thoughts and emotions every time you spend or receive money will help you understand your basic money beliefs.
Now that we know what negatives we are holding on to, we can work on clearing them with various approaches. Sometimes simple affirmations can make a big difference. In some cases, we may need expert solutions such as meditation or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to clear these blocks
I am not destined to be rich:
This belief is the fundamental reason which is holding us back. We are responsible for designing our destiny, and we might as well try to craft what is best for us.
-Changing our limiting and negative beliefs about money.
-Believing in our prowess and constantly making efforts in refining ourselves.
-Working on our goals, with conviction, consistency, and commitment.
When the above issues are worked upon, we achieve our goals and still enjoy prosperity.
